The expansion of modern healthcare and advanced surgical and treatment methods cannot be achieved without innovative surgical instruments and implants. However, their manufacturers are facing increasingly complex tasks: The products must be efficient, precise and traceable, while at the same time being profitable and also complying with a growing number of standards and regulations. In order to promote this development through a cross-industry dialog, the two trade media MM Maschinenmarkt and Devicemed are organizing the "Operation Zerspanung" specialist forum for the first time on 4 July.
The focus of the forum will be on presentations by experienced speakers selected by industry experts from industry, media and research, who will impart practical knowledge about the manufacturing process of medical technology products.
The large panel discussion is a highlight: Moderated by Katrin Wellmann, Holger Krahmer (European Parliament), Yvonne Glienke (Medical Mountains AG) and Dr. Gerhard Schillinger (AOK Bundesverband) will discuss the question "Over- or under-regulation?". The main focus will be on current developments in legislation, such as the changes to the EU Medical Devices Act and the resulting changes for manufacturers.
The specialist forum Operation Machining will take place on:
July 4, 2013 in Tuttlingen
