The BSI standards defined by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) contain recommendations on methods, processes, procedures and approaches relating to information security. Particular attention was paid to covering precisely those areas that are of fundamental importance for information security in public authorities or companies.
Basically, this is a logical and important reaction to the fact that business processes are becoming increasingly dependent on IT - which means that the requirements for security and emergency management are increasing rapidly. The BSI's security standards offer an optimal framework for successfully overcoming precisely these challenges.
IT managers should take a close look at the BSI basic protection catalogs and the BSI standards 100-1 to 100-4 and prepare for their concrete implementation in practice.
At the 2-day workshop "BSI Campus 2013", particular emphasis is placed on reducing the complexity of the BSI standards to essential basic components that can be used in companies or authorities.
These two speakers are experts in this field: Manuela Reiss is considered a proven expert in the field of IT documentation and advises organizations on all issues relating to this topic. She is also the author of specialist books (including "Praxisbuch IT-Dokumentation").
Dr. Markus a Campo has been working as a consultant, author and training speaker with a focus on IT security since 1997. He is an expert with the appointment stenor "Systems and applications of information processing, especially in the field of IT security".
The "BSI Campus 2013" will take place on November 12/13 in Hamburg, on November 20/21 in Frankfurt, on November 27/28 in Düsseldorf and on December 3-4 in Starnberg.
