Logistics revolution through Industry 4.0?

"Congress for digital logistics processes" imparts knowledge about Industry 4.0 in the warehouse and in the process

Will Industry 4.0 bring the next revolution for production and logistics? What technical innovations does the fourth industrial revolution really entail? Decision-makers from logistics, production and manufacturing have been asking themselves these questions for more than a year. The "Congress for Digital Logistics Processes" on November 13/14 at the Vogel Convention Center in Würzburg will address this topic and offer specialist information and a platform for exchange. The focus will be on the process chain: from procurement and production to warehousing and outgoing goods. The event is organized by the trade media "MM Logistik" and "MM MaschinenMarkt".

The program starts with a tour of Schäflein, a logistics service provider in Röthlein. There, participants will gain practical insights into Bosch's production supply and e-bike logistics.

On the second day of the congress, experts will demonstrate possible applications, provide tips for dealing with Industry 4.0 and present new developments. After an introduction by Prof. Dr. Michael Beigl (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)) entitled "Industry 4.0 what is it?", Falk-Johannes Schwarz will demonstrate, for example, the use of software tools for planning and simulation-based animation in food logistics at Lidl. Speaker Christoph Sahner (Autodesk) will also take a close look at the new technology and show what influence 3D printing will have on logistics processes.

In the concluding panel discussion, a panel of experts comprising industry users, scientists and researchers will address the question "Does the logistics provider need Industry 4.0?". An accompanying trade exhibition will round off the event and provide information on current trends and developments.

The congress for digital logistics processes will take place on
