The specialist medium and association organ "kfz-betrieb" has undergone a comprehensive relaunch and has been completely redesigned and fundamentally realigned to meet the needs of readers. The result is not only a weekly journal with a new design, but also a completely new page and section structure. The first issue of this kind, which will be published on January 10, 2014, offers an even more transparent and useful selection of topics than before.
In future, "kfz-betrieb" will no longer be published on Thursdays, but on Fridays. Editor-in-chief Wolfgang Michel explains why: "We want to become even more up-to-date and better when it comes to news. At first glance, this seems to be a contradiction, as the issue is published one day later. But this is the only way we can include news-relevant industry events from the beginning of the week. And since many events in the automotive industry take place at the weekend, the larger time window helps us to cover the topics in a higher quality."
Another innovation: the numerous special editions of previous years will no longer exist. From 2014, there will only be three focus issues with monothematic content: "Market & Brands", the trade fair issues for "Automechanika" and "IAA" and "Germany's Major Car Dealers". All other topics are now taken up directly within the regular issues. "As a generalist, it is our duty to reach as many target groups in the automotive industry as possible with every issue," says Editor-in-Chief Wolfgang Michel.
