Mainz, March 24, 2014 - For six years now, the specialist media company Vogel Business Media from Würzburg has been supporting the work of the Reading Foundation in a variety of ways. Last week, Stefan Rühling, CEO, and Gunther Schunk, Head of Corporate Communications, presented a cheque for 5,000 euros to Dr. Jörg F. Maas, Managing Director of Stiftung Lesen, and Johannes Altschäfl, Commercial Director, at Vogel Business Media's headquarters in Würzburg. The money will go towards Stiftung Lesen's numerous reading promotion projects, including the training and further education of volunteer readers, teachers and librarians.
In addition to the financial support, Vogel Business Media also supports Stiftung Lesen in the further development of its services, for example in the implementation of webinars on various reading promotion topics. "Reading competence creates media competence, which is a basic prerequisite for professional success and social participation," says Stefan Rühling, CEO Vogel Business Media, explaining the commitment: "We are delighted to be able to intensify our cooperation with Stiftung Lesen in the future."
Dr. Jörg F. Maas, Managing Director of Stiftung Lesen, emphasizes: "We are delighted to have Vogel Business Media as a strong and competent partner at our side and would like to thank them for their continuous support of our work. Promoting reading can only be successful if all social groups are committed to it. We therefore hope that Vogel Business Media's commitment will find many imitators and that together we will come closer to our vision of making Germany a 'reading country'."
