2013 was the most successful year for the global automotive supplier industry in more than ten years. With an average operating result of 7.6 percent of sales, the highest figure in ten years was achieved, according to the Berylls study "Global Top Automotive Suppliers 2013" - exclusively published in the current issue of the trade journal "Automobil Industrie" (4/2014).
As in previous years, the German automotive suppliers were able to further expand their position among the top 100 and once again increase their turnover to 161 billion euros (+4.0%). The 23 US companies in the top 100 recorded a slight decline in turnover of -1.0% to 139 billion euros. Japanese suppliers also lost ground compared to the previous year, falling by 10.9% to 174 billion euros.
