As part of the "Hosting & Service Provider Summit 2014", which took place on May 8 and 9 in Frankfurt am Main at the Villa Kennedy, the Vogel IT-Akademie presented the "Hosting & Service Provider Awards" for the third time. This year, the most innovative solutions were honored in the categories Application Services, Infrastructure Services and Platform Services. The criteria used were the novelty of the ideas, their implementation and the market opportunities of the offering. The best Hosting & Service Providers 2014 come from Berlin, Frankfurt am Main and Hohenstein-Ernstthal.
In the Platform Services category, cloudControl GmbH, Berlin, came out on top with its "cloudControl White Label PaaS". DECIX Management GmbH, Frankfurt am Main, Deutsche Wolke, Stuttgart, and Keppler IT GmbH, Erlangen, also scored top marks and were among the nominees.
The award for Infrastructure Services went to Link11 GmbH, Frankfurt am Main, for its "OEM DDos protection for ISPs". This put them just ahead of the other nominees, PCS AG, Solingen, Mindtime Backup B.V., Emmerich am Rhein, Black Point Arts Internet Solutions GmbH, Hagen, and hostNET Medien GmbH, Bremen.
NetTask GmbH, Hohenstein-Ernstthal, took home the award in the Application Services category for its "Hosted Lync - Enterprise Voice". But the solutions from SSP Europe GmbH, Munich, CPS-Datensysteme GmbH, Vallendar, WebhostOne GmbH, Bad Säckingen, enerpy GmbH, Constance, and 1blu AG, Berlin, were also convincing.
The independent jury consists of industry experts and specialists: Daniel Hagemeier, Publisher Webhosternews.com, Werner Nieberle, Publisher IT-BUSINESS, Gerd J. Simon, Senior Consultant Digital Hub FrankfurtRheinMain e.V. and Dr. Carlo Velten, Managing Director Crisp Research.
