Following this year's events "Storage Technology Conference 2014", "Storage Solutions Day Fachkongress - Swiss 2014" and "IT-Security Management & Technology Conference 2014" of the Vogel IT-Akademie (Augsburg), the participants evaluated the individual speakers via a digital questionnaire. The winners have now been chosen and will be recognized and marked as award winners at future events.



The prizes will be awarded in the following categories: The "Best Value" prize is awarded for an exceptional performance in terms of content and a lecture with high practical utility value. Lecture talents who shine with their sophisticated rhetoric and presentation techniques can qualify for the "Best Presentation" award. The best speaker overall is chosen directly and can call themselves "Best Speaker" after receiving the award. Awards will also be presented in the categories "Best Workshop", "Best Roundtable" and "Best Keynote".



At the "Storage Technology Conference 2014", which took place in April in Neuss, Darmstadt, Hamburg and Munich, Matthias Frühauf, Hendrik Bardowicks and Ralf Uwe Barth (all Veeam Software) won the "Best Speaker" and "Best Workshop" awards. Ralf Colbus (IBM) won the direct vote for "Best Speaker". André Braun (Dell) was honored as "Best Value" and Michael Stanscheck (Novell) won the "Best Presentation" category. Kurt Gerecke (IBM) received a certificate for "Best Keynote" and "Best Roundtable".



The best speakers at the "Storage Solutions Day Fachkongress - Swiss 2014", which took place on May 22, 2014 in Pfäffikon SZ, were Dennis Zimmer (opvi¬zor) and Michael Faden (Microsoft). The Swiss audience also rewarded Moritz Höfer (Veeam Software) with the "Best Value" award and Henry Schmidt (Hitachi Data Systems) with the "Best Presentation" award. Hans Schramm (Dell) won with top marks in both categories. Markus Erlacher and Philipp Witschi (itnetx GmbH) were voted "Best Workshop", while Kurt Gerecke (IBM) won the "Best Keynote" award.



Mario Winter, Michael Veit and Peter Skondro (all Sophos) were voted the best speakers at the "IT Security Management & Technology Conference 2014". Best Speaker in the "Value" category is Bernd Hoeck (dataglobal). Rüdiger Trost (F-Secure) received the "Best Presentation" award. Christoph Riese, Björn Zackenfels, Elmar Haag and Enzo Sabbattini (all Sophos) held the best workshop, while Boris Bärmichl (KoSiB EG-Kompetenzzentrum für Sicherheit) gave the best roundtable and keynote.
