For the 29th time, the trainees of the "Würzburger Medienakademie", whose main focus is Vogel Business Media, donated the entire advertising revenue from their specially produced city magazine "Der Würzburger". This year, 4,500 EUro each went to the two support projects "FortSchritt Würzburg e.V." and the learning aid project of the German Child Protection Association - Würzburg District Association.
The association "FortSchritt Würzburg e.V." is committed to providing conductive support for children and adults with movement disorders according to the concept of curative educator Andras Petö. "The method combines speech, movement and rhythm and thus promotes motor, mental, linguistic and social development," explains Gudrun Schreier from the "FortSchritt Würzburg" association: "We focus on everyday tasks and try to motivate the children to lead as independent and active a life as possible." The association runs a curative day care center where nine pupils are taught in a model school class.
Patrizia Fischer-Martin used the motto "Help me to do it myself" to describe the work of the German Child Protection Association and the Würzburg district association. The Child Protection Association stands up for the rights of children and young people and offers individual support, for example through care and learning assistance. The association accompanies the young people on their way to school and also helps them to find an apprenticeship or a job. "With this donation, you are giving young people a chance," emphasized Ms Fischer-Martin: "The young people are supported in the learning assistance project as they complete their schooling and are thus given the opportunity to participate in society."
The free magazine "Der Würzburger" is published annually and is produced and marketed by the trainees themselves. This benefits not only the charitable organizations in and around Würzburg, which receive the donations, but also the trainees themselves. For them, the magazine is a good opportunity to get to know the processes in the publishing house better and to apply and implement the skills and knowledge they have learned.
