New partners for Industrial Usability Day 2015

"VDMA Software Association" and "elektrotechnik"

Two experts are joining forces for a common goal: to promote usability in industrial production. The new partners, the media brand "elektrotechnik" from Vogel Business Media and the "VDMA Fachverband Software", will jointly contribute their experience and networks to the successful further development of the "Industrial Usability Day" conference.

On the one hand, the Industrial Usability Day promotes developer know-how in order to translate customer requirements into user interface specifications and imparts knowledge of the methods, procedures and techniques of usability engineering. On the other hand, the conference explains to the management of machine manufacturers how the high usability of their machines can increase customer loyalty, enhance the brand image and reduce reworking and support costs through ergonomic human-machine interfaces. After all, usability plays a decisive role in the success of the future scenario of Industry 4.0.

"With the expertise of the VDMA Software Association, the Industrial Usability Day has another strong and competent partner on board and can further accelerate this enormously important topic for mechanical engineering," comments Reinhard Kluger, Editor-in-Chief of "elektrotechnik" on the partnership. Together with Vogel Business Media, we now want to focus even more strongly on the topic of software ergonomics at the 'Industrial Usability Day' and thus bundle our strengths"
