The 9th benefit concert of the Würzburg printing and media companies will take place on Friday, November 7, 2014, at 8:00 pm at the Vogel Convention Center in Würzburg. A very special international chamber orchestra has been invited for this concert event: The Festival Strings Lucerne. The artistic director of the ensemble is Daniel Dodds, who will also accompany the orchestra as a soloist on the violin. The music program is characterized by works by Mozart and Tchaikovsky.
Traditionally, the big Würzburg charity event is dedicated to a good deed. In the spirit of "participation in life", the proceeds from the 2014 charity concert will go to five important and effective social and charitable projects:
1. PSA - Pädagogische Soziale Assistenzen offers at-risk children and young people whose personal development and social integration are at risk individual help to enable them to lead independent lives and to stabilize them.
2. the Würzburg street workers of "Underground" offer help for self-help to protect young, homeless people or people in difficult life situations from further danger.
3. the angestöpselt e.V. association helps people in need to improve their chances on the job market and participation in digital life with old refurbished computers, thus actively counteracting disadvantages.
4. the "Brücken bauen in Würzburg" project is a newly founded project that aims to help people with severe disabilities to build an independent life in the primary labor market.
5 The Würzburg station mission support association offers a 24-hour service. The main topics are help, food, de-escalation, conflict counseling and conversation with people in need, strangers and people stranded at the station from all over the city. The night shift is therefore the only 24-hour contact point for people in need.
Tickets are now available in advance for 90 euros.
