At the SPS IPC Drives 2014 trade fair in Nuremberg, the trade journal "elektrotechnik" will be honoring the best automation apps for the third time. For the first time this year, the prize will be awarded in four categories: Corporate, Catalog, Engineering and Production. Interested parties can submit their applications until September 26, 2014.
Any company can apply with one or more submissions. The apps do not necessarily have to be freely available. In the "Production" category, for example, awards will also be given to apps that are used individually in companies to control machines and systems. Companies can nominate both free and paid apps for the award.
The jury evaluates the submitted apps according to usability, security, relevance and utility value as well as the originality of the idea behind the app. The winner is determined from the online voting on elektrotechnik.de, the user ratings in the respective store and the judgment of the expert jury. The apps with the best overall results from the three equally weighted partial results emerge as the winners of the four categories.
Apply now! The deadline for entries is September 26, 2014.
