The Bavarian Print Media Prize 2014 as an honorary prize of the Bavarian Minister President goes to the publisher and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Vogel Medien Group, Dr. Kurt Eckernkamp.



Minister President Horst Seehofer: "The Vogel Medien Group has taken on the challenges of internationalization and digitalization in an exemplary manner and turned them into successful business models. The family-run publishing house, which was founded over 120 years ago, is now a globally active media company with firm roots in Bavaria as a media location. Kurt Eckernkamp has made a significant contribution to this development. Congratulations on receiving the Bavarian Prime Minister's Honorary Award!"



The Bavarian Print Media Prize is awarded in three categories by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology in cooperation with the Association of Bavarian Newspaper Publishers, the Association of Magazine Publishers in Bavaria and the Bavarian Print and Media Association. The nationwide prize is awarded for outstanding publishing, design and technical achievements in the newspaper, magazine and print sector. The other winners will be announced by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology. The award ceremony will take place as part of the Media Days on October 23, 2014, 7.30 pm, in Munich at Nymphenburg Palace. Further information can be found at
