The expert jury consisting of representatives from the four local alliances for work and family in Mainfranken honored the most family-friendly employers in Mainfranken on September 9, 2015. The award ceremony took place as part of the Word Childhood Foundation's charity gala at the Würzburg Residence. In the presence of the founder, Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden, the competition winners received their prizes from the hands of young journalists.



Vogel Business Media GmbH & Co. KG received the "Most family-friendly employer in Mainfranken" award in the "Large companies with over 250 employees" category. "We are a value-oriented family business. This means that our employees and their families are particularly important to us. It is very important to us to know what measures we can take to make life between work and family easier for them. We take this seriously and have already implemented many ideas," says Managing Director Günter Schürger, explaining the intensive commitment to family friendliness.



The jury of experts from Mainfranken explained: "Whether it's models for making working hours and work locations more flexible, special services for employees with families, monetary support, extra-corporate commitment or the promotion of female managers and junior staff - the media company impressively demonstrates its family-friendliness."
