Over the past nine years, the annual benefit concert organized by the Würzburg printing and media companies has become one of the most important charity events in the region. The 10th benefit concert on November 21, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. marks a major anniversary.
A top-class orchestra has been invited for this special concert event: The Mozarteum Salzburg with the exceptional conductor Ivor Bolten as well as the internationally acclaimed soloist on the piano, Martin Stadtfeld. The music program includes works by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. In addition, Germany's best caterer FR Catering will enrich the evening with selected culinary delicacies as top sponsor.
As in previous years, the big Würzburg charity event will be held in the name of a good deed. The four organizers have come up with something special for the anniversary concert and are launching a long-term project to promote reading in the Würzburg region together with the Reading Foundation and other institutions in the region.
After all, reading is the key to knowledge. Only those who can read can take part in education and thus participate in opportunities, prospects and professional development. Did you know that there are currently around 7.5 million functionally illiterate people of working age in Germany? The aim of promoting reading is to support participation in personal and professional development.
Tickets are now available in advance for 90 euros.

With the Würzburg charity concert, the four organizers, Koenig & Bauer, Mediengruppe Main-Post, Robert Krick Verlag and Vogel Business Media, have established a major social charity event for Würzburg every year. Around 900 concertgoers are expected again in 2015. Personalities, organizations and service clubs from Würzburg society support this extraordinary event and the good cause it promotes. In the first nine years, over 450,000 euros in donations have already been handed over in this way.
