The winner of the German Workshop Award 2015 is AutoPark GmbH in Mailling, Upper Bavaria. With its 20 employees, the family-run company took first place in the industry competition. The trade journal "kfz-betrieb" and the original brand partners (Bosal, GKN, Mahle, Reinz, Schaeffler and TMD Friction) selected the ten best independent garages in Germany for the fifth time. The award ceremony was a highlight of the symposium for independent workshops and service companies, which took place on October 24, 2015 at the Vogel Convention Center in Würzburg. "It was not easy for us to select the top ten, as the quality of applicants this year was very high," said Konrad Wenz, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of "kfz-betrieb".



The jury for the German Workshop Award is made up of representatives from the "kfz-betrieb" editorial team and Original Marken Partner (OMP). After evaluating the numerous application documents received, the jury members visited the most promising independent garages on site. They assessed the external and internal appearance of the brand-independent vehicle businesses, the services offered, the marketing and customer approach as well as the company and employee management.



"It is remarkable that many independent garages are characterized by innovative service concepts and sophisticated marketing strategies," emphasized Lutz Sattler, Head of Sales Central Europe at Schaeffler and spokesman for the OMP.



The jury was particularly impressed by AutoPark's personal customer service and perfectly organized work processes - from making appointments by telephone to order processing and advice through to vehicle handover. The Maillinger garage passed the last workshop test by an independent testing organization and the company check by the jury members with flying colours. The result: first place in the German Workshop Award 2015. "We are a modern workshop with an outstanding quality of work and friendly employees," said AutoPark Managing Director Josef Englhart at the award ceremony in Würzburg.

9th place: Krenz Auto + Service, Paderborn

10th place: Kfz Seidl, Töging
