This is the third time that an excellent research project at the University of Würzburg has been supported with the Research Promotion Award. This year, a three-person interdisciplinary research team is being honored: Dr. Tobias Grundgeiger from the Institute of Human-Computer-Media and Prof. Dr. Thomas Wurmb and Oliver Happel from the Clinic and Polyclinic for Anaesthesiology at the University Hospital of Würzburg will receive the Research Promotion Award for their joint research project "Clinical evaluation and further development of a tablet-based app for the documentation of in-hospital resuscitations", a project aimed at reducing cardiovascular arrests.
The unique concert by the Monteverdi Choir under the direction of Prof. Matthias Beckert will lend cultural splendor to the award ceremony with a cappella works by Johannes Brahms and Eric Whitacre. The Monteverdi Choir has been awarded the City of Würzburg's Cultural Medal. With two first places at the Bavarian Choir Competition 2013 in Munich and a first prize at the German Choir Competition 2014 in Weimar, the Monteverdich Choir is one of the top choirs in Germany.
