Security of things: "Internet of Things Congress" with practical report from the German Football League

In the course of digitalization and the associated networking, more and more new areas and infrastructures are becoming the focus of criminal hackers. In the past, most of these networks were still separate from public networks or the internet, but thanks to digital technologies, more and more companies are also integrating external parties, such as business partners or customers, into their own value chain, thus providing a target for unwanted access from outside.

One example: smart soccer stadiums, which are always equipped with technology and have a large number of integrated, networked devices. In a presentation at the "Internet of Things Congress", which will take place on September 14 and 15, 2016 in Munich, Thomas Haase (T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH) will demonstrate the risks and problems with a test of the infrastructure of a soccer stadium and the devices integrated into it. In his presentation "Quality assurance in Industry 4.0: practical report from the German Football League", Haase will address the topic of "hacking in the stadium" and use examples to explain the test procedure from inventory to evaluation.

The IoT Congress is organized by the specialist medium "Elektronikpraxis", provides information on technology, applications, standards and security in the Internet of Things and presents new ideas and best practices in lectures and seminars.
