"Teaming up for smarter events"

ngn enters into partnership with "Digital Handshake" specialist Konduko and links the on-site trade fair event "smart" with digital trade fair channels

ngn, the expert for digital exhibitor directories and content portals, welcomes a new partner to its side: the technology from Konduko, a Swiss pioneer in the field of "smart events", stands for the simple exchange of information and contacts at trade fair events with the help of so-called smart badges and smart readers. With their cooperation, the two digital specialists are creating a new, integrated form of trade fair preparation, attendance and follow-up that creates new levers for lead generation, particularly in the B2B sector.

How does the "Smart Event" principle work?
Exhibitors place one or more Smart Readers at their stand, equipped with individual information about the company. The Smart Readers will be part of the additional digital services that exhibitors can book in advance of a trade fair to optimize their presence via all trade fair channels (online, mobile & print). Trade fair visitors receive a Smart Badge that is linked to their account in the exhibitor and product directory. When the visitor touches an exhibitor's reader with their badge, a data transfer is triggered: the visitor collects the company information (e.g. brochures, presentations, catalogs) and leaves their contact details with the exhibitor. The visitor receives the collected data as a daily summary by email and as a day-based favorites list in his individual trade fair account. Exhibitors can use this technology to generate additional, qualified contacts, regardless of whether their stand personnel are available. They can also access the generated contacts and corresponding evaluations at any time via a dedicated system.

The interlinked systems from ngn and Konduko offer great added value for both visitors and exhibitors: visitors have central access to all the information gathered during the trade fair, which makes it much easier to follow up on the trade fair and share information with colleagues. At the same time, visitors retain full control over who receives their contact details. Exhibitors are offered new, efficient ways of generating leads and measuring success at the trade fair.

Doris Beckmann, Managing Director of ngn, recognized the potential of this partnership early on: "Linking our digital directory technology with Konduko's systems enables us to bring live events and digital trade fair channels much closer together. By increasing the benefits for both visitors and exhibitors, the organizer not only improves its service. This content-driven approach to lead generation also creates new potential for additional sales."

Pascal Lagadec, Head of Global Sales and Business Development at Konduko, is particularly pleased about the improved user experience for all participants: "Now more than ever, trade fairs are able to provide high-quality interactions and qualified contacts. Digital technologies such as those from ngn and Konduko are already making an important contribution here as stand-alone solutions. Merging these into a seamless service was a logical step for us that fits perfectly with our content-focused philosophy."
