Strengthening the management team

Matthias Bauer becomes Managing Director "Corporate Development and Digitalization" at Vogel Business Media

As part of its strategic development, Vogel Business Media has decided to set up an additional "Corporate Development and Digitalization" management division. The Supervisory Board has appointed Matthias Bauer (35) as Managing Director for this newly created division as of January 1, 2017. In this role, he will continue to drive forward the development of Vogel Business Media.

The management of Vogel Business Media will then consist of Stefan Rühling (Chairman of the Management Board), Günter Schürger (Deputy Chairman of the Management Board), Florian Fischer and Matthias Bauer. In his new role, Matthias Bauer will remain Managing Director of ngn - new generation network GmbH, Vogel Corporate Media GmbH and Vogel Ventures GmbH.

Vogel Business Media is Germany's largest trade media company with 100+ trade journals, 100+ web portals, 100+ business events as well as numerous mobile offerings and international activities. Its headquarters are in Würzburg. The print and digital media primarily serve the four major sectors of industry, automotive, information technology, B2B communication and law/economics/taxes. Other offerings range from trade fair services and communication services to market intelligence & insights. The company is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2016.
