The trade journal "kfz-betrieb" and Automechanika Frankfurt selected the ten best independent garages in Germany on October 28, 2016 at the Vogel Convention Center in Würzburg. "Selecting the top ten was no easy task for the jury. All of the award-winning companies offer a very high quality of service and work. They occupy a top position in the German automotive industry," emphasized "kfz-betrieb" editor-in-chief Wolfgang Michel.
The jury for the German Workshop Award is made up of representatives from the "kfz-betrieb" editorial team and Automechanika Frankfurt. After evaluating the numerous applications for the coveted award, the jury members visited the ten best independent garages on site. They assessed the external and internal appearance of the garages, the services offered, marketing, customer approach and support as well as company and employee management. "Every workshop team deserves the German Workshop Award because they put the customer and their needs first. And this at a time when many workshops are facing major challenges and have to invest in the further training of their employees and the latest technology," said Dr. Ann-Katrin Klusak, Director Marketing Communications at Automechanika Frankfurt.
The jury members particularly liked the feel-good atmosphere in the Auto Zentrum Nord customer center. It is equipped with a tasteful seating area for waiting customers, attractive wooden furniture, artistic decorations and classic cars. In the company's Smart Repair Center, well-trained employees also carry out work for other companies. This includes, for example, rim repairs, paint damage-free dent removal as well as hail damage, leather and textile repairs. Rather unusual for an independent workshop is the sale of around 600 new and used cars per year. Equally impressive are the high workshop utilization rate of 100 percent and the 3,000 regular customers who regularly come to Auto Zentrum Nord for maintenance and repairs. "The German Workshop Award 2016 is proof of our good work," says Managing Director Rico Oelsch happily.
