"We are now also focusing on digital distribution channels in one of the most exciting industrial markets in the world," says VBMI Director Hans-Jürgen Kuntze, explaining the strategy. In future, the portfolio of the new MMI media brand will be rounded off with special print editions for trade fairs and other industry events: The first example is the MMI special edition for IMTEX 2017. The MMI information offering will be accompanied by a newsletter with 22,000 qualified recipient addresses.
Print is alive. Digital is growing. Vogel Business Media will align its international and Indian business according to this maxim in future. "In such geographically large markets as the Indian subcontinent, it is much easier, more direct, faster and safer to reach decision-makers in industrial companies with the necessary frequency of valuable information by electronic means," explains Kuntze. Print rounds off the cross-media mix on an event-related basis by distributing the edition specifically where the decision-maker elite come together: at trade fairs, conferences, lectures and other industry events.
The number and type of such events will determine how often and in what print run MMI is published each year. Dinesh Mishra, Head of Sales at VBMI, will inform the markets in good time. Ahlam Rais will assume editorial responsibility for all media channels. The contact person for address management and address quality is Kruti Bharadva. "Improving this address quality is one of our most important strategic goals for 2017," emphasizes Dinesh Mishra: "We will invest heavily so that our international and national customers can be sure that we are reaching the right target groups at the right time."
In order to concentrate on building and improving the MMI media brand, the purely Indian print edition of "Process" will be discontinued. Instead, Vogel Business Media will distribute another international title in India, "Laborpraxis Worldwide", alongside "Process Worldwide" - again with the support of strong international web presences. "With the globally distributed title Process Worldwide, we will also reach the Indian market with the same technical specialist topics in future and even increase the distribution figures on the subcontinent," explains Group Publisher Gerd Kielburger: "At the same time, we will address the local specifics and market topics much more efficiently and quickly via the weekly Process India newsletter." Dinesh Mishra will also be responsible for sales of these two publications in India and other English-speaking regions in South East Asia.
With these national and international media brands, Vogel Business Media continues to offer German customers in particular an important bridgehead for their sales targets in the Indian market - "with the same reliability and quality that they are accustomed to from Vogel Business Media in their home markets," says VBMI Director Kuntze.
