As a result, Günter Schürger (49), Florian Fischer (49) and Matthias Bauer (35) will jointly take over the management of the company. VBM will thus take account of the ongoing and lasting changes brought about by digital technologies in order to exploit the opportunities that arise in a time of fundamental upheaval. More than ever, the new management structure requires comprehensive communication and networking of the entire group of companies, both externally and internally. Dr. Gunther Schunk (49) is responsible for this task.
Stefan Rühling (58), previously CEO of VBM, who helped prepare this new management structure, is stepping down from the management board but will continue to represent the company's interests in associations.
Following the banking and economic crisis of 2008, VBM has developed into a highly respected and one of the most progressive companies in the specialist information industry under the very successful leadership of Stefan Rühling. This was recently reflected in the wide range of activities and celebrations to mark the company's 125th anniversary.
The Supervisory Board and shareholders would like to thank Stefan Rühling for his successful work over the past few years.
