19th Zellerau Culture Days

Multifaceted district festival on October 7 and 8 with music, theater, art and design

For 19 years, the Zellerau Culture Days have been offering residents of the district and beyond a colorful range of free cultural events. This allows all interested parties free access to cultural events. At the same time, the program showcases the diversity and creativity of the entire district. For 2017, the organizing team has put together a colourful cultural programme with many participants and opened up new venues.

Due to the upcoming Würzburg world record in the permanent variety show "Würvar", which ties up the resources of the organization team, the Culture Days will only take place on two days this year.

On Saturday, October 7, the focus will be on Frankfurter Straße around the "Zellerauer Marktplätzle". The highlights of the first day include the tried-and-tested "Blues im Waschhaus" format, this year with "Carola Thieme & Jochen Volpert" and "Mann ohne Melone & Friend", as well as a historical tour with Willi Dürrnagel.

On Sunday, October 8, the Bürgerbräutag will take place with numerous cultural activities at the Kultur- und Kreativgelände at the other end of Frankfurter Straße. These include a performance by the Spieli choir "Die Nervensägen" and the Franconian U20 Poetry Slam Championship.

Thanks to the participation of many supporters, admission to all events is once again free of charge in the 19th year. The Zellerau Culture Days are an important part of the event year and an initiative that makes the attractiveness of the district tangible for all visitors.
