Some of the scenarios are already a reality, such as the digital test drive, in which you can participate interactively via livestream. However, there are still no digital solutions for other wishes and requirements of used car dealers. With the "Innovation Safari", the specialist medium "Gebrauchtwagen Praxis", together with the "Santander Consumer Bank", now wants to change this. The concept of the new format: five car dealers plus five start-ups equals five customer-oriented, digital solutions for the vehicle trade and plenty of industry contacts.
The dealers' wishes and tasks include, for example, intelligent management of vehicle images, locating vehicles on the company premises or paperless financing applications. Start-ups that can fulfill one or more of these wishes can now apply for the "Innovation Safari". In a hackathon on February 26 and 27, 2018, they will then meet with dealers in Würzburg and develop an idea in 24 hours, which will be presented in a three-minute pitch at the "German Remarketing Congress" 2018 on February 27.
The specialist audience at the congress will vote to decide which dummy is the most convincing. The winning start-up will receive prize money of 1,000 euros. Another benefit for all participating young entrepreneurs: contacts with potential new customers as well as direct market access to the automotive industry and a wide range of networking opportunities. In addition, all start-ups that go on safari can present themselves free of charge with a stand at the "REMa Expo" as part of the "German Remarketing Congress".
Start-ups whose companies are no more than three years old and are still in the seed or growth phase can take part.
