Only products and companies that have already won an industry award or made it onto the shortlist at an award ceremony are nominated for the "Best of Industry" award. Therefore, even a nomination in one of the nine categories is an award. The readership and the expert jury each have 50% of the votes in the decision. The expert jury consists of experts from industry and research as well as specialist editors from "MM Maschinenmarkt". The online voting runs until May 20, 2018, where interested parties can vote for their favorite: www.maschinenmarkt.de/best-of-industry/voting.
The new "Start-up" category will be represented for the first time. With the digital transformation and all the associated developments, such as Industry 4.0, Smart Factory and digital transformation, up-and-coming start-ups in particular have a decisive role to play. Innovative start-ups are an important catalyst of the digital revolution and play a relevant pioneering role, which "MM Maschinenmarkt" promotes with its own category. The "Best of Industry" award will also be presented in the following categories in 2018: Additive Manufacturing, Drive Technology, Automation, Operating Technology, Industry 4.0, Material Flow, Forming Technology & Sheet Metal Working and Machining.
"Being among the best creates a competitive edge and ensures the success of companies. This top performance deserves attention," says Publisher MM Group Oliver Barthel. The specialist medium acts neutrally and as an opinion leader, supporting, promoting and connecting up-and-coming companies along the way.
