Bavaria is at the top of the list - employees in the sector receive an average of EUR 68,775 per year in Bavaria, excluding variable components. This is well above the German average: the average salary for electronics and electrical engineering employees across all sectors is €64,736. Baden-Württemberg is also above this average with 65,898 euros, while North Rhine-Westphalia almost exactly matches the national average with an average of 65,703 euros. At the bottom of the salary league table is Saxony-Anhalt, where employees have to accept a significant drop in salary of just €42,010. Salaries in Thuringia, Saxony and Bremen also remain below 50,000 euros.
The first issue of the new "Karriere 360°" magazine published these figures from the "Electronics and Electrical Engineering Salary Report". The career magazine is aimed at graduates, career starters and experts in the electronics industry and is published twice a year. With the "Karriere 360°" magazine, the specialist medium "Elektronikpraxis" offers tips and valuable background information for all those who want to make a career start or develop further in the future-proof electronics industry.
The "Young Professional Barometer" from the research institute "trendence" is also included in the current issue. Over 3,300 professionals with an academic degree and a maximum of ten years' professional experience in the electronics industry took part in the survey. The results are remarkable: 80 percent of those currently working in the industry would definitely apply for a job in the electronics industry again and only 11 percent are looking for a job - lower than in any other industry. This is the clear conclusion of David Franz, editor of "Karriere 360°": "The future of the electronics and electrical engineering sector is bright, it has a very good standing with young employees and graduates and is therefore attracting the top specialists of tomorrow!"
