The winner of the German Workshop Award 2018 is Autohaus Deusch in Zell am Harmersbach. The brand-independent automotive business in the Ortenau district on the western edge of the Black Forest impressed the jury with its perfect service processes, well-trained employees, imaginative service campaigns and high-quality company equipment. "We put our heart and soul into being an independent garage and live it every day for our customers," said owner Sven Wangler at the award ceremony on the eve of the symposium for independent garages and service companies.
Automechanika Frankfurt and the trade journal "kfz-betrieb" presented awards to the ten best independent garages in Germany at the Vogel Convention Center in Würzburg on October 19, 2018. Selecting the top ten was no easy task for the jury members. This is because all of the award-winning companies offer a very high quality of service and work. "The award-winning independent automotive businesses prove that the owners treat their employees very responsibly, invest in the future and do not capitulate to technology in the digital age," says "kfz-betrieb" editor-in-chief Wolfgang Michel.
The jury for the German Workshop Award is made up of representatives from the "kfz-betrieb" editorial team and Automechanika Frankfurt. After evaluating the applications for the coveted award, the jury members visited the ten best independent garages on site. They assessed the external and internal appearance of the automotive businesses, the services offered, marketing, customer approach and support as well as company and employee management. "I was particularly struck by how well the owners and employees of independent garages know their customers, who they look after with great commitment and passion," said Olaf Mußhoff, Director Automechanika Frankfurt.
The jury members were particularly impressed by the perfectly organized service process at the Deusch dealership - from making appointments with customers to order acceptance, vehicle diagnostics and repairs, through to vehicle return and customer aftercare. The digital communication with customers via social media, the great service campaigns such as the tech programs for women, the four-day week for workshop employees and the imaginative vehicle trade are among the other highlights of the independent workshop in Zell am Harmersbach.
