Companies' need for information on the use of renewable energies is literally exploding. Small and medium-sized companies in particular urgently need guidance on how to supply their own energy. The media brand "r.energy" from WIN-Verlag specializes in renewable energies and digitalization and, together with the Vogel Communications Group (VCG), invites SMEs to an information event on this future-proof topic.
On September 18, the first r.energy Summit on renewable energies will take place at the Vogel Convention Center Würzburg and will provide information on how SMEs can set up their own solar system in seven steps in order to become more sustainable. The summit, which is the first in a series of congresses, is being organized by WIN-Verlag, which has been part of VCG since 2023.

"Having your own solar system is a fundamental investment decision that enables SMEs to optimize their energy costs and plan for the longer term. But how does a company arrive at the optimum combination of PV system, storage and charging infrastructure? This is precisely the information that the summit aims to provide," emphasizes Michael Hobohm, editor in charge of r.energy: "because the congress series shows clear and effective ways to channel the power of the sun into your own business."
The high-ranking experts from all over Germany offer an interactive information day that makes the future-proof topic understandable and practical. Energy and ESG planners from small and medium-sized companies are invited. The r.energy Summit provides answers to the following questions:
- What does good advice on a solar energy project involve?
- What are the key points of the project planning?
- What should I bear in mind when financing?
- How does plant construction work?
- What needs to be considered during operation?
- How does efficient, transparent energy management work?
- What options are there for selling energy?
"The new event has a very high utility value for companies. It also demonstrates the successful synergies between WIN-Verlag's thematic expertise and VCG's event expertise," says CEO Matthias Bauer: "This is how I imagine a successful integration. And our customers benefit from the new offerings."
