On 1 January 2007, Annedore Munde joined the Vogel Media Group, based in Würzburg/Germany, as editor for MM MaschinenMarkt, a technical magazine published by the group.
After finishing her studies at the college of technology in Ilmenau (in the equipment technology department, specialising in the scientific sector of production processes), Annedore Munde (who is a Diplom-Ingenieur – an academically trained engineer) then completed an additional training course in journalism and public relations. After working for various daily newspapers and P.R. agencies, she then held the position of P.R. officer at the Fraunhofer Institute in Jena, Germany, before moving on to a position where she held responsibility for the Thüringer Gründernetzwerk (a partnership between the technical colleges and centres and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the German state of Thuringia) within the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Erfurt.
