Vogel Business Media is to expand its ”Würzburger WerbeFachgespräche” B2B marketing congress – Robert & Horst is awarded the PR and advertising contract

Vogel Business Media intends its “Würzburger WerbeFachgespräche” congress to become the leading B2B marketing congress for specialists from medium-sized and large companies and agencies. The Munich-based agency, Robert & Horst Marketing GmbH, has been awarded the PR and advertising contract for the traditional yearly event. Robert & Horst now has the job of developing a corporate design, a distinctive advertising campaign both online and offline and a multi-stage PR concept.


The “Würzburger WerbeFachgespräche” (WWF) B2B marketing congress is about to undergo a major relaunch. The organisers of the event, the Würzburg-based company Vogel Business Media, intend the congress to appeal to a wider target group in future. Hitherto, the event – which enjoys a good reputation – has always been restricted to Vogel Business Media’s customers. Now it is going to be opened up with the aim of establishing itself as the venue for all those involved in advertising within various segments of the market. The congress will offer practice-related topics and reputed speakers, as well as a relaxed networking atmosphere in the state-of-the-art Vogel Convention Center (VCC) in Würzburg/Germany.


Vogel Busi­ness Media awarded Robert & Horst Marketing the contract to relaunch the congress and deal with all the advertising and PR aspects involved. The agency will bring its ideas into the development of a new concept for the congress and its corporate design and will perform all the advertising and similar activities to do with the event.


As a central element in this task, Robert & Horst will be developing a visually elaborate, entertaining information website for the internet, where marketing topics can be explained in close relation to practice in a type of advertising “oracle”. Details of the website are due to be revealed at the beginning of March 2007. Among other things, the website will serve as a platform for viral marketing which is intended to awaken broad public interest in the congress. Moreover, Robert & Horst will be overhauling the WWF website and developing a multi-stage PR campaign in order to create even more publicity for the congress. Facts about the WWF congress:
The 45th Würzburger WerbeFachgespräche congress is due to take place on 25 and 26 June 2007. It will be staged at the state-of-the-art Vogel Convention Center (VCC) in Würzburg/Germany, which is also where the first B2B branding & trademark conference took place in December in conjunction with Germany’s trademark association, Markenverband e.V. The organisers of WWF are Vogel Business Media – one of the leading companies internationally in the specialised journalism sector.

The advertising agency specialises in cross-media campaigns using online and offline advertising measures which are striking and original enough to generate viral marketing in the target groups (in other words, word-of-mouth advertising). Among other things, in 2006 R&H was awarded with the gold W3 award by the International Academy of Visual Arts for its online “cash machine” advert (commissioned by its customer, T-Online), received a gold German Dialogue Marketing Prize (Deutscher Dialogmarketingpreis), won a bronze medal at the New York Festival and was placed on the shortlist for a Cyberlion award in Cannes. In 2005 the agency was given the iF design award for its online “hand scanner” advert (also commissioned by T-Online). There are now 33 employees working for the group at its three different locations in Germany (Munich, Wiesbaden and Rheda-Wiedenbrück). Robert & Horst was founded in Munich in 1997.
