Würzburg/Germany, 16 April 2007
Last weekend, »kfz-betrieb« (the specialist magazine for the German automobile sector) presented its 2007 Sales Award to the three most creative and successful car dealerships in Germany which stand for exemplary, customer-friendly and promising trading concepts in the automobile business. Last Saturday, the two sector magazines »kfz-betrieb« and »Gebrauchtwagenpraxis« (which specialises in the secondhand car business) – in conjunction with Santander Consumer Bank and CarGarantie – announced the winners of the 2007 Sales Award at the AMI/AMITEC trade fair in Leipzig, Germany.
The award was being presented for the fifth time and the ceremony – attended by approximately 150 guests from various associations, trade and industry – was one of the highlights of this year’s trade fair. The winners of the award were those entrants who provided the answers to two decisive questions: How should contemporary sales of new and secondhand cars be handled in these days of tough restructuring in the car trade? Who are the trendsetters on the market?
The winners included contractual business partners of several well-known car manufacturers. The winning businesses are located in various different regions all over Germany. Out of some 250 entries to the competition, the following three businesses came out on top and walked away with the car sector’s “award” for their sales concepts:
1st place: Robert Kunzmann GmbH & Co. KG in Aschaffenburg
(Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge)
2nd place: Autohaus Mothor GmbH Skoda contractual dealer
in Brandenburg
(Skoda, Mitsubishi, VW)
3rd place: Autohaus Günter Grassow GmbH & Co.KG
in Lüssow/Strahlsund
(Mazda, Subaru, Suzuki, Chevrolet)
4th place: Autohandelsgesellschaft mbH Georg Rittersbacher in Kaiserslautern
(VW, Audi, Kia, Porsche)
5th place: Auto Staiger Leipzig GmbH in Leipzig (Opel, Chevrolet, Saab)
6th place: Ford besico Sachsenland GmbH in Glauchau (Ford)
7th place: Autohaus Chemnitz GmbH in Chemnitz (Toyota/Lexus)
8th place: Hackerott GmbH & Co. Handels und Service KG in Hanover
(Seat, Skoda)
9th place: Autoschmitt Idstein GmbH in Idstein (VW, Audi)
10th place: Auto-Center-Lange GmbH in Ludwigsfelde (Honda)
The criteria applied in selecting the top ten businesses included, among other things, the quality of vehicle presentation, the commitment and dedication of the sales staff, marketing ideas for new and secondhand cars and the interfaces with customer services. An in-depth report will be published in issue 16/17 of the sector’s specialist magazine, »kfz-betrieb«, which is due to go on sale on 26 April 2007. We would be happy to send you this issue upon request (see contact details below). Also, a special publication („Die Verkaufsprofis 2007“) will be issued on 18 May, presenting all the top businesses and the best sales ideas from the automobile industry.
»kfz-betrieb« is published by Vogel Auto Media, Würzburg/Germany and is the most widely read specialist magazine in the German car trade, celebrating its 95th anniversary in 2005 and fulfilling the role of official publication of the German vehicle trade association (ZDK), which represents the interests of over 40,000 car dealer businesses and repair garages.
