Frankfurt/Würzburg, Germany, 14 September 2007
The car dealerships and independent car trade businesses which are considered to have the best online automobile business have now been chosen for 2007. The German motor trade sector’s most widely read specialist magazine, »kfz-betrieb«-weekly journal & website, and the automobile internet exchange, AutoScout24, have for the fourth time jointly presented the »kfz-betrieb« Internet Sales Award 2007 to the selected winners.
The award ceremony took place at this year’s IAA automobile exhibition in Frankfurt and attracted a lot of interest from the sector. The prize money and vouchers to the value of 4,000 euros in total were handed over jointly by Wolfgang Michel, Editor-in-Chief of »kfz-betrieb«, and Manfred Seidel, the Sales Director for the „Classified Germany“ section of the internet portal, AutoScout24. The »kfz-betrieb« Internet Sales Award is presented by »kfz-betrieb«-weekly journal & website – the German motor trade’s most widely read specialist magazine – together with AutoScout24 to those German automobile companies which do not only have an attractive website but also have the internal processes well in hand that are inherent in the business of selling vehicles on the internet.
The top three businesses were ranked as follows:
1st place: Autohaus Robert Kunzmann GmbH & Co. KG in Aschaffenburg (Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep)
2nd place: DaimlerChrysler AG (Rhein-Ruhr branch) in Mönchengladbach (Mercedes-Benz)
3rd place: Dürkop GmbH in Braunschweig (Opel, Saab, Kia, Volvo, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, Cadillac, Corvette, Subaru, Bosch-Service)
And the other businesses which came in the top ten were as follows:
4th place: Gottfried Schultz GmbH & Co. KG (VW, Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Seat, Skoda, Bugatti), Essen
5th place: Autohaus Boden GmbH (Renault, Mazda, Dacia, ad AutoDienst), Essen
6th place: MaxMoritz GmbH & Co. KG (VW, Audi Skoda), Hagen
7th place: E. Erdmannsky GmbH (Volvo), Celle
8th place: Kamps Exklusiv Automobile GmbH & Co. KG (Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Lotus, Jaguar, Land Rover), Münster
9th place: Autohaus Kubik (VW, Audi), Halle
10th place: Autohaus Lenz (Mazda, Kia) Bielefeld
The jury examined all aspects of the car dealer businesses‘ online presence. The design and upkeep of the website were just as important as the aspect of marketing in the jury’s consideration of all the factors involved in selling vehicles on the internet. It also examined and assessed the competition entrants‘ internal handling processes and how their workflows were organised.
