September 17, 2026 – Effective January 1, 2027, the Vogel Communications Group (VCG) will acquire the industrial trade media division of Carl Hanser Verlag GmbH & Co. KG, thereby consistently expanding its presence in key industrial markets. The acquired trade media titles will be managed and further developed by WIN-Verlag GmbH & Co. KG, a wholly owned subsidiary of VCG.
The acquired portfolio includes the trade journals HANSER automotive—including the special publications OEM Supplier and MOBILE Automation, FORM+Werkzeug, Kunststoffe, Plastics Insights, QZ Qualität und Zuverlässigkeit, and WB Werkstatt + Betrieb—including the special publication Schweizer Präzisions-Fertigungstechnik.
The acquisition also includes the associated web portals, newsletter formats, and other digital offerings. For many years, these publications have been among the established information and dialogue platforms in their respective industries. They are known for in-depth professional journalism, high credibility, and close ties to their communities.
This step further reinforces the Vogel Communications Group’s leading presence, particularly in the automotive, plastics technology, manufacturing, quality assurance, and workshop markets.
At the same time, WIN-Verlag is significantly expanding its trade media portfolio and gaining additional editorial breadth, reach, and market presence. Together with its existing offerings, this creates new opportunities for editorial collaborations, digital offerings, events, and cross-channel communication solutions for industrial companies.
The new trade media brands will be consolidated at WIN-Verlag’s Munich location. The diversity of independent media brands and clear editorial positioning is part of the portfolio’s strength: it enables the company to specifically target different audiences, information needs, and communities within a single market. At the same time, both existing and new brands benefit from the reach, technology, and communication expertise of the entire Vogel Communications Group.
By taking this step, the Vogel Communications Group is consistently pursuing its long-term growth strategy. The new trade media brands complement the existing portfolio and create additional connections between media, communities, digital offerings, events, and communication services. This expands Vogel’s ability to connect companies along the entire industrial value chain with relevant target audiences.

“With this acquisition, we are consistently implementing our ‘VOGEL 2030’ growth strategy in the specialized media sector as well. The Vogel Communications Group already boasts exceptional breadth and depth in B2B communication. With the renowned Hanser brands, we are significantly expanding this offer once again and can further scale our reach, technology, data expertise, and communication capabilities. Our customer and reader target groups will benefit significantly from this combination,”
