Stefan Rühling, 49, will be appointed Managing Director of Vogel Business Media as of April 1, 2008 and will also take over the management of Vogel Industrie Medien.



After completing his 2nd state examination in law, Stefan Rühling has worked in various management positions since 1989, first in the specialist information division of Bertelsmann and then at Springer Science + Business Media. Until the sale of the division he managed to GMT-Communications Partners III LLP, London, in 2007, he was a member of the Board of Springer Science + Business Media and CEO of the internationally active B2B construction information division as well as Managing Director of Springer Baumedien / Bauverlag.



Claus Wüstenhagen, who wishes to take on new entrepreneurial challenges, will leave the Vogel Medien Group as Managing Director on March 31, 2008 by amicable agreement due to differences of opinion regarding the long-term strategic direction.
