The top trade media of the year have been determined: The 10 winners of the "Trade Media of the Year 2013" award of the German Trade Press were announced and honored today at a festive evening event during the Congress of the German Trade Press in Essen. The German Trade Press presents the award once a year to the best German trade media offerings. "Our award winners demonstrate the wide range of specialist media services and are exemplary in terms of quality for the many high-quality printed and digital information offerings from German specialist media companies. This year, the jury was once again able to establish that Specialist publishers are not preservers, but are at the forefront of media change with innovative products, great customer proximity and precise market knowledge. In addition, the courage to found new companies is unbroken," summarizes Bernd Adam, Managing Director of Deutsche Fachpresse and member of the award jury. The jury also awarded a "Special Jury Prize" to the training journal autoFACHMANN (Vogel Business Media GmbH & Co. KG). In doing so, it honored a well thought-out, target group-oriented blended learning specialist medium with a web-based e-learning system that shows how new business models can be created through the intelligent linking of specialist information and learning content.
All winning titles can use the "Specialist Medium of the Year" label for one year to promote their excellent specialist medium, convincing concept and appealing design to readers, users and advertising customers. They were selected in a two-stage evaluation process according to criteria such as text quality, comprehensibility, stylistic devices, target group relevance, graphic design and cross-media brand management. The juries are made up of representatives from industry, experts from B2B agencies, universities and specialist media companies.
