Robert Weber, 30, has been the new editor-in-chief of the "elektrotechnik" brand since May. He succeeds long-time editor-in-chief Reinhard Kluger, who celebrated his retirement at the Hannover Messe. Weber previously worked as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the specialist medium for around a year and established the "Industrial Energy" section last year.
"With Reinhard Kluger, we are losing a well-connected veteran of the industry. With a deep insight into automation, he has understood perfectly how to build interesting editorial bridges between language and technology," emphasizes Publisher Bernd Weinig: "Always with a view beyond the horizon and always on the pulse of the times, he has significantly shaped the development of the media brand."
"With the long-term planned transition and the journalistic expertise of Robert Weber, the course of "elektrotechnik" has been set," comments Bernd Weinig: "The media brand is to be successfully positioned as a cross-media and efficient platform, as a neutral and credible knowledge provider and meeting place for a lively (specialist) community for automation and energy," explains Bernd Weinig.
"elektrotechnik AUTOMATISIERUNG" reports on the entire automation technology value chain. The focus is on the specific application of automation technology products and systems, technologies and services, their conditions of use and potential for improvement, as well as their utility value for operational practice.
"elektrotechnik INDUSTRIAL ENERGY" deals with the efficient transmission, distribution, application and generation of electrical energy in production operations. Energy management and supply, electrical equipment, feed-in and feedback as well as the machines and systems used for energy conversion and distribution play an important role here. The web portal www.elektrotechnik.de provides daily updates on industry trends, new products and technical applications in automation and energy technology.
