The trade medium "MM Maschinenmarkt" honors the best of the best: This is because only companies that have been shortlisted for or won an industry award with a product or solution, i.e. have already received an award, are eligible for the new high-ranking "Best of Industry" industry award. In addition, the candidates for the ten shortlists were able to qualify by receiving an outstanding response from MM readers.



In an elaborate process, industry experts from "MM Maschinenmarkt" reviewed competitions worldwide in which specialist judges intensively examined the degree of technical innovation or the benefits for industry, the environment and society.



The market view of MM readers and the technical assessment by jurors are now also taken into account 50 percent each in the final decision for the winners in the respective category. A total of 10 Best of Industry Awards will be presented - one in each category. MM readers took part in an online survey and the jury, consisting of MM editors and industry experts, made its decision based on criteria such as degree of innovation, cost-effectiveness and sustainability. The reader response shows the great interest in the new competition: more than 6,500 ballots have already been submitted.



This makes the "Best of Industry" award an instant accolade for the entire company - for the engineers in development as well as for the communication experts and the sales team. With the new award, the trade medium aims above all to encourage entrepreneurs and decision-makers who cultivate an innovation-friendly corporate culture. After all, successful product development is the result of a systemic and integrative approach. "Whether as a nominee or subsequent winner, anyone who is involved in the 'Best of Industry' award has brought together product and market perspectives by working closely with all departments. Anyone who stands on stage here as a nominee has already won!", comments MM publisher Hans-Jürgen Kuntze.



The observation period for the first edition of the "Best of Industry" award was from the beginning of 2014 to mid-2015. The award ceremony will take place on February 18, 2016 at the Vogel Convention Center in Würzburg.
