MaschinenMarkt Group strengthens its position in the DACH region

MM Austria to be more closely networked with parent title

MaschinenMarkt Group strengthens its position in the DACH region

From July 1, 2024, the industrial media brand MaschinenMarkt Österreich (MMÖ) - published under license since 1996 - will be more closely linked to the parent title MM MaschinenMarkt. Together with the Swiss MaschinenMarkt (SMM), the entire German-speaking region will be covered with industry topics in a more targeted manner. The previous MMÖ licensee Thomas Lunacek will retire at the end of June 2024. From July 2024, Benedikt Hofmann, the editor-in-chief of the German MM MaschinenMarkt, will also take over the management of MMÖ. This will complete a reorganization of MM MaschinenMarkt in the German-speaking region and create an even deeper network between the three country editions of MM MaschinenMarkt in the entire DACH region.

"We can leverage many synergies and bundle our diverse expertise, channels and products within our MM Group," says Editor-in-Chief Benedikt Hofmann: "It is important to us that MM Austria retains its specific national topics. At the same time, however, we want to positively expand the local editorial team through content networking, channels and formats, as many of our industrial customers are active in the entire German-speaking region." MM Austria will continue to report from the region for the region. This also fits in with the country-specific marketing budgets, which are often allocated decentrally by advertising customers.

"Virtually nothing will change for the readers of MM Austria. It will remain primarily industry information from Austria for Austria," explains Benedikt Hofmann, MM Editor-in-Chief: "But the editorial team will have access to even more experts, expertise and knowledge from the entire MM network. And our advertising customers will be able to benefit even more from the expanded market access and integrate the two strong specialist titles in Germany and Switzerland even better into their industrial communication."

The outgoing publisher of MM Österreich, Thomas Lunacek, is also positive about this development: "I would like to thank our readers and customers for more than 25 years of excellent cooperation and partnership. I would like to take this opportunity to wish VCG all the best for the next, hopefully very successful, years."

"Industrial communication has long been globally positioned in export-oriented markets and the MM Group's international network with nine international editions is therefore a very good prerequisite for expanding industry knowledge and optimally supporting market entries and market expansions," says Matthias Bauer, CEO of Vogel Communications Group: "I would like to thank Thomas Lunacek and the team from the Austrian machine market for the many years of successful cooperation."
