Regional and special trade fairs are very popular with trade visitors. This form of live knowledge transfer is becoming increasingly important, especially for complex industrial topics. Vogel Communications Group (VCG) has greatly expanded its range of such trade fairs over the past five years. Every year, VCG organizes 25 such trade fairs at a total of 19 locations. Five new trade fairs are planned for 2026, all five outside Germany.
The regional trade fair SchraubTec for screw connections in the industry has been around since 2021. 2025 saw the launch of the first trade fair abroad with the Katowice (PL) location. Barcelona (ES) will be added in 2026. There are also five other locations in Germany.
Meorgathe specialist trade fair for measurement and control technology, has been held at six locations in Germany to date. In 2026, Vienna (AT) and Tarragona (ES) will be added abroad.
The Lab-Supply is a regional trade fair for instrumental analysis, laboratory technology and life science and will take place at eleven locations in 2026, two of which are in Austria and the Netherlands: Graz (AT) and The Hague (NL) are new.
The annual ConExpo Cobots4You will be held in Würzburg for the third time in 2025, and this year saw the launch of a new location in Bochum. International locations are also being considered for this trade fair in 2026.
"The need for direct exchange between users and providers and for orientation in dynamic industries continues to grow. Especially in the European context, companies want to network more closely," explains Matthias Bauer, CEO of VCG.
"The new international locations are an excellent opportunity to position our trade fairs, open up new markets and significantly increase added value for exhibitors. The regions there combine industrial strength with innovative power and European networking - ideal conditions for the successful expansion of our customers," says Bernd Weinig, Director Trade Fair Solutions & Partnerships at VCG.
"The Europeanization of our regional trade fairs is a decisive step towards supporting and connecting companies throughout Europe. In times of dynamic markets, there is a growing need for orientation, direct exchange and practical knowledge transfer," explains Gerd Kielburger, Director International Business & Strategy at VCG: "With new locations in Spain, Austria and the Netherlands, we are creating new platforms alongside Germany, Austria and Poland that will have an impact far beyond the moment: they strengthen regional industries, promote innovation and drive European cooperation in the long term."
