As Chief Event Officer, Wagemann will be responsible for the business segment and its further development within the entire Vogel Business Media Group from July 1, 2017. This will be accompanied by the development of the "Vogel Business Events" brand as an organizer of B2B events, while the organizational structure will also be further developed.

The need for relevant and innovative live platforms is growing in companies' communication mix, as is the need for high-quality training in the wake of constantly changing requirements for professional functionaries," comments Wagemann: "This is a significant business area that offers many opportunities for growth. In addition to expanding our product portfolio, we want to achieve further growth through strategic partnerships, cooperations, investments and acquisitions in order to intensify this business area."
In addition to the event unit headed by Ulrike Döring, Wagemann will be directly responsible for the expanded business development in future. Together with the teams of the Vogel media brands, the portfolio of vertical industry events will be expanded. In addition, horizontal cross-sectional topics, platforms and formats are to be developed to accompany the market transformations resulting from digitalization.
