The competition for the 2027 German Sustainability Award for Products has begun. We are looking for solutions that demonstrate how innovation, responsibility, and economic strength work together. Companies and designers can submit physical and digital products, services, and initiatives that have a tangible environmental, social, and economic impact.

The Vogel Communications Group (VCG) is serving as the exclusive media partner for the “Products” category of the German Sustainability Award (DNP) for the third time, as the award is being held for the 19th time. The VCG is strengthening its commitment and once again supporting the German Sustainability Award Foundation for the “Products” category. Applications featuring particularly sustainable solutions for the“DNP Products”category can be submitted online until June 7, 2026:

“We want to recognize 50 solutions for a better future and bring these ideas to the business world,” explains Tim Bartl, Brand Advocate at VCG: “Through our commitment, we are taking shared responsibility for one of the most important corporate issues and supporting the DNP with our extensive industry connections to ensure broad visibility among the professional community, particularly among German small and medium-sized enterprises.”

The competition recognizes solutions that use resources more efficiently, strengthen circular economies, address societal challenges, or develop new business models. The focus is on contributions to the areas of climate, resources, nature, the value chain, and society. “Transformation doesn’t come from declarations of intent, but from better solutions. These are exactly the innovations we want to highlight,” says initiator Stefan Schulze-Hausmann.

Companies of all sizes and from all industries are eligible to participate. Entry fees are tiered based on company size. The application deadline is June 7, 2026. The winners will be honored on December 4, 2026, during the 19th German Sustainability Award ceremony in Düsseldorf. The #DNP26 is considered one of the largest industry gatherings in Europe focused on the transformation of business and society.
